Stress ignites or stress drives presence so in order to be present with your positive emotions you also have to bepresent with your stressors and with the emotions that really hurt. There's a different type of attention when you're present with yourself that is really about understanding the value of all emotions and all inner experiences even the ones you wouldn't necessarily choose for yourself.
