How to Hire a Salesperson?
The first thing you should look for is just make sure they have a baseline understanding of sales itself through the experience. I think that if you are not a salesperson yourself, it's impossible to get ramped up on the role and also train a new sales hire who has no sales experience. And then lastly, I just look for grit and hustle. You're probably working seven days a week. If a lead comes in Saturday at 3 p.m., you're not going to reply to it Sunday at 4 p.m.," she says.
