retrieval used to be very much ad hoc like oh i haven't done this for a while we'll do that or i've seen a good resource on this so i'll use that actually what we've moved to now is what we call a retrieval practice curriculum. You basically hide your retrieval practice completely planned out alongside your new talk content and you give a guide of a round of about four weeks.
