How to Stop Craving Social Media
The psychology research that I think is most relevant to the scenario is the growing body of literature built around the idea that our brains are prediction machines. So for someone who has to use social media professionally, the key thing is to set routines that are going to be as non disruptive as possible. Once it's locked in, it's going to be really hard to white knuckle past those schedule checks. It will interrupt whatever you're thinking about and crave it.
