Everybody knows Amazon. But at the same time, Amazon has become quite complex. I mean, they have gone into businesses that defy imagination. That raises the question is Amazon spreading itself too thin? In strategy, we learn everybody should focus. Jeff Bezos missed that class because he didn't come to HVS.
Since its founding in 1994, Amazon has expanded into streaming, cloud computing, content creation, and even groceries. But if traditional business strategy tells us that the key to success is focus, why does Amazon work?
