Why Some People Get Hyperurisemic
Humans have much higher levels of urate than most other mammals in the animal kingdom. Eating high-peering foods like beer, meat, seafood will increase purine degradation and therefore increase urate. There are also a lot of individual factors like specific disease states, especially kidney disease. Genetic factors likely play the biggest role in terms not necessarily in how quickly we might produce urate, but how well we excrete it.
