How to Figure Out Your Best FTPs

The next question comes from Mark Kane. He asks, should an athlete base their FTP and subsequent training on their very best 20 minute effort in a race as opposed to a test? I love this question because it gets into a couple of really important themes here. And the first and most important one is to always remember when you're training, it's not training is not about the best numbers you can put out. Training is about the right numbers.training in the right ranges to get the right physiological response.
