Concentration Is a Muscle
When i'ma tired i'm fuzzy, if i lose focus. When i have meditated and had some coffee, which helps too, i feel really pretty sharp. At the end of a meditation retreat, that's actually probably the sharpest that i've ever felt. You know, this really fits with what amishi has found in her research, which is that attention is a muscle. We can enhance our focus the more we practise it. And meditation is definitely practising focusing attention.
