Aerobic threshold is a pace that you can sustain for about two hours before you kind of get outside that zone. A lot of marathoners gravitate to this pace because it falls rather close to your marathon pace. That said, personally, my preference is generally to only really do long runs of that aerobic threshold later in the cycle and only for portions of the long run.
