Today's discerning consumer can easily spot the difference between genuine purpose and marketing gimmicks. Stores are already increasingly becoming pickup points and de facto fulfillment centers. Ultimately, brick and mortar stores will either focus on price, efficiency and convenience or become venues for unique premium experiences.
