i admire the extent to which this book is grounded on a very serious religious world view. It's a world view that i don't personally share, but it is one that i take seriously. I was writing this book in response to many people who felt that they were existing in a culture of sexual malays and weren't sure what to do about it. And so i spent a lot of time actually just asking people what they thought a good sexual culture would look like. Can we not love each other for a single day? Oenow, that is what she wanted an ethic to look like. That is something that's shared by people both religious and non.
