Lack of Data and Indications for Airway Clearance Devices

This chapter discusses the lack of data on the effectiveness of airway clearance devices and therapies, primarily in the context of cystic fibrosis and non-CF bronchiectasis populations. It also highlights the use of mechanical in exoflation devices in neuromuscular diseases and emphasizes the need to consider disease progression in starting these devices.
