The Internet and Its Importance

The Internet had been around since it was created as a Defense Department project in the 1960s. It took until Tim Berners-Lee introduced the idea of the World Wide Web in 1990 that more civilians and non-scientists started to use it. In 1993, Marco Andreessen introduced an easy-to-use browser that he called Mosaic which later became Netscape. All restrictions on commercial use of the Internet were dropped after 1995.
