Do You Know Where Your Limits Are?

When I first started doing interval training on a run so I'd go out fartly run you know yeah run easy for like two two miles and then do just some short repeats. That would be categorized as a fail because I didn't complete the workout or the task but what it is doing and what I'm understanding from this is it is strengthening your nervous system well It's also teaching you where your limits are.
