Communication Is Key to Patient Satisfaction
The most common thing that we do, myself included, even for someone who has been taught how to pay attention to the interview process, is that we tend to interrupt our patients. We don't let them finish the story. And I think part of that is because, as physicians, we're short of time. The communication piece we could do better is to just listen.
