Idiopathic Pulmonary Arter Hypertension

The percentage of patients who are diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension varies depending on the registry you look at, but ranges anywhere from 39 to forty six %. The most common mutation is a mutation in something called the bone morphogenic protein receptor to gen which accounts for 75%. V m p r two mutations are inherited in an autizomal dominant, incomplete penitrante fashion, meaning you can have the mutation, but you may or may not develop disease.
