For me, upper has never been my main goal. I'm not a big jacked upper body dude. That's also why my deadlift is better than dudes two times my size. But it's pretty obvious that after almost 20 years of strength training, what I've prioritized was the world record deadlift. So whatever you prioritize, that's what you're going to make most results with.
