Is It a Cultural Bias?

Is it a cultural bias that people think we would be less than fully human if we were to contain these emotions too much? Is there some truth in that? E suc just cultural bias, the way in which we justify our excesses to ourselves. Different people have different ways of expressing things like anger and shame. These are partly psychological underpinnings; they don't fire balistically or reflexively. You learn them as you grow up growing up within a particular cultural context. It seems a plausible truth that mother nature did gift us with certain basic emotions: fear, anger, disgust, contempt, surprise, happy, sadif that's seven, then i got the list.
