The 15-minute debrief after every call is a good way to start. It will make your later synthesis so much faster and it's so much better when it's fresh. You don't have to go back and reread all the transcripts although you're certainly welcome to. I'd usually recommend a method called affinity diagramming. But large is where you might want to more systematically look back at all of your interviews.
Our guest today is Jeanette Mellinger, Head of UX Research at BetterUp and our User Research Expert in Residence at First Round.
In today’s conversation, Jeanette unspools her tested playbook for high-quality customer interviews, with particular advice for founders in the very early days of validating an idea, including:
- The three-step framework for a thorough user-research process
