The Scoop Culture
I think when I started writing about food, it was right when Amanda and Locke launched eater and then Ozursky launched grub soon after. And it was like really aggressive, like the scoop culture. Adam Platt has talked to me about this a bit because he was around as the New York magazine critic. It's almost like in hindsight, like a cosplay, like we were doing some kind of like political reporting cosplay on the flip though. But they didn't necessarily always add up to all that much.
