The participants were 30 to 50 year old males, a patient of a one mile run in a under seven minutes was another requirement. Running greater than 20 miles per week was another requirement and then greater than two years of running experience. The nutritional parameters of the studies were for the low carb high fat group. They were going to be assuming consuming roughly 50 grams of carbohydrate per day 75 to 85% from fat 15 to 20% protein.
