The Law of Small Numbers
Many facts of the world are due to chance, including accidents of sampling. Causal explanations of chance events are inevitably wrong. The sample of observations is too small to make any inferences. I won't believe that the newtrador is a genius before consulting a statistician who could estimate the likelihood of his streak being a chance event. Let's not follow the law of small numbers.
