Josh: I thought the analogy that you used was really profound. Once you realize and recognize the difficult feeling and pain is probably overstating it, but the difficult and unpleasant emotions involved in trying to achieve a difficult task are just part of the process. And people in people who meditate tend to understand this. If you were somehow capable of sitting down on a meditation cushion and never getting distracted, the meditation itself will be pointless for you. Like you'd already be some kind of superhuman concentration.
