You want to bring people into the community in a way that they not only want to subscribe, but they want to hear from you in their email inbox. He says pop ups can be an effective tool for getting your content seen by more than one person at once. Lewis also recommends using WP subscribers which allows him to put a box at the end of his blog posts.
