Are You Making the Same Bad Choice Seven Times in a Row?

I think we're still running a lot of those unconscious strategies, which were rational at the time but are now no longer as useful. One domain where I see this constantly driving the emotional and cognitive card to the telephone pole is in romantic relationships. It's almost as if life or certainly their partners are giving them opportunities to feel it over and over again. At some point there will be such a terrible heartbreak or such a rock bottom that they'll be forced to feel it. And on the other side of feeling the thing, there will be freedom and there will be more sovereignty.
