Is There a Protocol for Decay Insolent?
The key for severe acedotic decay patients is bolsing insolent upfronts. Most hospitals should have a decay insolent protocol to guide this, as well as repeat lab draws and potassium repletions that are automatic. Lactated ringers or plasmit is preferred to normal saline,. especially when you're getting over the two to three leader mark aus hyper chloriic acidosis was probably not helping your patient.
