Sally Kohn: In your book, you paint a picture of how we're spending so much of our time these days and what you call the hyperactive hive mind. You write that as knowledge workers, we essentially partition our attention into two parallel tracks. One executing work tasks and the other managing an always present electronic conversation about them. What do you think is the whole killer of modern workplace? We can't concentrate on one thing for more than 10 to 15 minutes at a time when there are dozens of messages going back and forth in inboxes or chat channels.
