Is There Evidence That Grammar Action Is Beneficial?
There is evidence that grammar action can be beneficial for something, says Carren. But there's a tremendous bias in the research toward explicit knowledge to begin with, he adds. What i would say is that all this explicit instruction just detracts from the centrality of what we want to be doing - developing fluency and so on.
