The Viking Age

The Viking age is both decentralized and centralized so it'd be like the equivalent of trying to talk about crime. There's multiple levels of activity going on here but some of it's driven and purposeful and other is just sort of random. Some of these Viking attacks are closer to war than they are to piracy take for example in 845 ADCE a particularly tough year to be on the receiving end of Viking raids the Vikings hit both Hamburg and Paris.
