Is There a Way to Validate Your Feelings?
If someone doesn't get where I'm coming from, or they're not able for whatever reason, just to kind of sit with me in that feeling, I can do that and I can validate it. So their invalidation or their lack of responding in a way that I need isn't a statement anymore of how valid that is. You know, we can just kind of veg our way in and grow in confidence with certain people. We don't have to rip the band-aid off straight away. It can be quite painful to do that if we don't have that kind of internal validation going on as well.
