Alex VR: I find strength slash hypertrophy gains much slower than cardio developments. If you were intending to be as competitive as possible as a hybrid athlete, would you initially focus on strength slashhypertrophy adaptions with cardio at minimum effective dose? Alex VR: Hypertrophy is difficult. Building muscle is extremely, it takes a long time. It takes a lot longer than most people realize. You can consistently improve the conditioning side of things even if you are not perfectly well recovered.
