Is There a Difference Between Inhalation and Meditation?
There's not a ton of great research that says thatk extending the exhalation is going to significantly raise heart rate variability. What we do know is what happens physiologically, which is that we do see some increase in h r v when we extend the exhale. For me, i'm such an extended exhalation guy, like five breaths per minute for my resident frequency. And then for some people it's the flip flop or the inverse: i'm so an extended inhail and for me, I can just kind of extend this much longer than other people who are doing even breathing.
