The Disadvantages of Long Runs

For a sub 3 marathon, I wouldn't go with 7 days of running. If you're used to high training volume and training every day, then I would instead maybe go for running 5 days a week rather than 7. In observational studies of elite runners, in some of them you see that depending on which cohort you look at, that they tend to have a rest day.
