The Stigma of Lifting for Boxing

In boxing on the female or male side is there a stigma of like you shouldn't lift because you'll throw punches slower or your muscle punches. I think it just comes from a lack of knowledge really on how to actually use strength training principles for sports specifically. There's just many ways that you can organize training depending on the purpose or depending on the goal what you're trying to do right. Working too much on either end of the curve is not going to be the most optimal way to uh organize your your training  for the purpose of sports.
