What Are Swap Lines?

Swap lines are the ability of that central bank the US to provide dollars to other central banks who will provide them to local financial institutions. The advantage if you're a receiver of dollars and you're a friend of the US is that those swap lines can be very important. China also has lots of swap lines around the region, the Asia region.
