Sprinting is an interesting animal right because why do you lift weights so that you can get more muscle fibers recruited and train nervous system. You force your body to have to be 100 muscular so when you sprint what do you get a lot of synchronous muscle firing which is the same thing that happens when we do sprinting power work. The best plyometric for runners is sprinting according to Dr Michael Schulder, head of VO2 max training at Boston University.
