The way that our brains protect us from using substances are kind of handicapped in the a d h d brain. So i think if we kind of look at what gets people to use substances and what protects people from using substances, it's similar. It makes us much more prone to using substances. We have a couple of different parts of our brain. The pre frontal cortex is responsible for inhibition. In the anterior singula cortex or results in poor selective attention and poor inhibitory control.
