The Spanish Civil War was a culmination of years and decades of political unrest in Spain. Several different groups had their own visions for the future of Spain, views that were largely incompatible. Thousands of foreigners traveled to Spain to fight for what they felt was the future of their beliefs. On a world stage the conflict became not just about the future ofSpain, but also the future of the various political ideologies represented in the conflict.
