The Importance of Broadcast Revenues in the Premier League

The EFL and the Premier League have been at a financial cliff edge for some time. The increase in broadcast revenues has helped bridge that gap somewhat, particularly amidst discussions of reducing parachute payments going forward. But I think probably by the end of that Premier League rights tender, we're going to have a bigger gap than we do now between the two. That is really where the bridging of that gap is going to happen because the chasm between the two in terms of broadcast revenues are going to continue to grow with the next domestic deal being worked on in the background.
