The Roman Stoics Are Training Us to Cope With Any Event That Happens to Us

Roman stoic texts are trying to train us to cope with any eventuality. They try to buy the claim that all of those unwonted events that happen don't really hurt us, because it's our virtue which is important. And secondly, that these external events that happen to us a, are the product of a providential ordering within nature,. and therefore part of some wider rational and a wider rational plan.
