The word meditation ist is a, you could say, an umbrella term for a wide range of activities in which you are working with the different elements of your mind and body to achieve a particular result. The word in tibetan is gom g o m, which just means to become familiar with something. Some people meditate when they 're swimming or running flirtation tanks. Could the notion of blanking out your mind, so that sort of voidy, provide some relief to to the activity in the mind which might be stressful to sursand? There are so many variations.
