The Early Days of Clearport

Vinny: We launched Clearport a week or two before ICE. And we kind of shrugged that off, because we knew we had the right product. I remember very, very distinctly we had one of our marketing guys, one of my most so-closest friends, Jerry David, was down at one of the big trading firms. He spent three days going through almost every department within the organization and explaining to them exactly what we were doing. But it took a long time to get clearing firms. One firm couldn't get their systems to acknowledge or recognize negative price contracts for an active board anyway.
