The Worst Is Behind Us

The manufacturing side of the economy has been hit quite hard. But I think the worst is behind us because you had the biggest appreciation in real appreciation of the dollars since the mid-1990s. In terms of consumption, it's actually doing quite well. The amount of monetary and fiscal support that was delivered to the economy during the pandemic is unprecedented. And so for instance, even after the losses in the stock market, in the real estate market, if you look at household net wealth relative to disposable income, it's still much higher than before the pandemic.
