#646 - The Assumption of Mary: Protestant Critique (REBUTTED)

The Counsel of Trent

CHAPTER

Is There a Lack of Discussion of Mary's End?

Augustine has a number of passages where he talks about mary dying. He seems to assume mary died, never mentions anything about an assumption. And more than that, the reason for mary's death is original sin. The context doesn't demand any reference to what happened to mary after she died. So this passage, it's just too brief to tell us much about augustine's views on this subject.
