GDI Is Gross Domestic Income
CNN.com's John Sutter recalls a dinner conversation he had with an economist 10 years ago. He was trying to figure out why the GDP numbers just don't look right, and should be looking at GDI instead. Gross domestic income is another way of measuring GDP; every dollar I spend is a dollar of income to someone else. "I love those three letters," says Sutter. 'They're all I ever like to talk about'
