Women have been socialized to be consumed, to perform, to please. And historically, and it is still rife to day, when we are cheated on, we have been told that it is the failure of the woman. When actually there's way more to cheating than that. So we have to be very careful of conflating what is, at best, some one's emotional unavailability with lack of interest, desire or activeness.
