How to Build a Decision Tree

In practical decision theory, it's like how do you approach these amorphous, uncertain gut churningly, emotionally charged decisions? There really is a pretty general workflow to resolving that. The first two steps are to list the possibilities of the things that could happen. And then we move on from there and we sort of make a matrix of possible outcomes. We assign utility values to the outcomes in terms of your subjective sense of preference.
