"I think a big issue is they're told what to do from such a young age that they don't know how to think for themselves correctly," he says of NFL players. "They'll do apps, some of them in two weeks, they get so scared because they get so strong." The team runs a system called the Wave Periodization and does 25 squats and 25 delis at one time. It's very high volume; weights are slightly slower than a lot of sports.
