If i have anxiety, i can't let it go. So start by exercising the muscles of your mind in low priority situations that have no attachments. Practice with a foot, a piece of food. Leave one french fry, uneaten. Share one french fry with some one else. Get water instead of soda. There are all kinds of little things that you can gradually build up your capacity for letting go.
