The Rise and Fall of Le Mumba
In December 1958, Le Mumba got invited to represent Belgian Congo in Ghana. When he returned from Ghana, tensions between independence activists and the Belgian government were reaching a boiling point. On January 4, 1959, police clashed with rioters. In the ensuing violence, dozens of people died. And that's the day when the real struggle of independence began.
